How to Market your Media Blog

Blogging 101
So you've been writing your posts for some time now and you can't help but wander, what else can I possibly do to get people to look at my blog? Well the truth is you can have as much writing talent as a flea and still get your content noticed. Take me for example, I may be a student but I'm hardly the next George Lucas or J.K. Rowling. If you're serious about maintaining and marketing your blog, especially one concerning the media, then read on and you might learn a thing or two.

One Media Student Interviewing Another

Being a Media Student can provide many different challenges, the diversity in the assignments and the the strong blend of practical and theory based modules promote the need for a variety of different skills throughout the course. As well as academic challenges there is an ever present social stigma surrounding the degree and its students, many label Media Studies as an easy subject with no real credit, but if my own experience is anything to go by then they really couldn't be any further from the truth. In spite of the general external opinion I recently interviewed a fellow Media Student, Gary Wilkinson, to see how he feels about our degree and how he plans to use it in the future. If you're considering a Media degree, already studying for one or simply interested in the subject, read on and share your opinions and personal experiences with a comment at the end.

A review of Apple's new iPad 3

Apple's third installment of the iPad is ready to be released this month and looks set to continue the company's domination of the tablet market. It's only been a year since the release of the iPad 2 so in this post i'm going to determine if this new iPad is worth the rush or if you're better off saving your money and picking up an older model.

A Brief History of Formula One

Sky Sports F1

As a media student and an athlete, one of my dream jobs is to be part of the Sky Sports team. Seeing as the highly anticipated Sky Sports F1 HD channel launched on Friday I thought it would be a good idea to write a post including a brief history of Formula One and some of the most memorable events in the sport's illustrious history. If you're an F1 fanatic or somebody keen to learn more about one of the world's most glamorous sports, this should be enough to get you excited for the upcoming 2012 season. Leave a comment letting me know some of your favourite Formula One moments and feel free to ask any questions you may have about the sport.

Foo Fighters - Wasting Light

Foo Fighters Logo

After a fairly stressful day at work I decided to put the Foo Fighters' newest album 'Wasting Light' into my car's CD player, they're my favourite band and it's a great album so I hoped it would take my mind off of the day that I'd had so far. I honestly can't remember the last time music perked me up like that album did on my way home so I thought i'd post up a review of it here on my blog so any Foo-curious viewers can see what I think.

Some Interesting Blogs

Blogger Logo

I thought I'd open up my blogging account by analysing and recommending a few blogs i've been following recently. Although they aren't directly related to my own blog, they're all interesting in their own right and well worth a look.
